In a field of endeavor such as this, I find it useful \u2013 <u>critical actually<\/u> \u2013 to synthesize the methods and philosophies of successful investors into a few broad concepts. I have been an investor since I was thirteen years old and have been a professional investment banker, securities analyst, and investment portfolio manager for thirty-six years \u2013 so I have been at this endeavor of discovering the successful investment strategies for quite some time.
