Aruoba-Diebold-Scotti Business Conditions Index
The Aruoba-Diebold-Scotti Business Conditions Index is one of the economic forecasting tools that we use in our analysis. It is a part of our Real Time and Current Economic Conditions section of the Intrinsic Value Wealth Report (Book #6). This is the link to the ADS Business Conditions Index in Book #6.
The ADS business conditions index is based on the framework developed in Aruoba, S.B., Diebold, F.X. and Scotti, C. (2009), “Real-Time Measurement of Business Conditions,” Journal of Business and Economic Statistics 27:4 (October 2009), pp. 417-27. The above link accesses this research paper.
Refinements were made to the ADS index and are discussed in “Updates on ADS Index Calculation.”
